Grandma Le and Grandpa Dave at Alco/Baseball/Park

We had a GREAT day today with Grandpa and Grandma! We went to Alco to look for a few things, and before I knew it, there were a few people sitting on the ground trying out the toys!
All three on the floor!

This afternoon we went down to Gibbon to watch Dad's team play more games. Grandma and Grandpa went with us, and we had fun playing with Grandpa's hat! (Remember the 4th of July??)

After we got tired of watching the games, we walked to the other side of the park and got onto the swing! Alex's first time swinging! Here is a video and a few snapshots of my ornery boy going on the swing!

Look! No hands!!

ORNERY grin!!!!

After the swing, we decided to try the slide. Grandpa held on the whole time, and Alex tried to stand up mid-slide. It was a fun time once we got the hang of it.

Wheeee!!!!
Once we were done with the slide, we decided to walk in the sand....NEW TEXTURE EXPERIENCE!!! At first Alex hated the feel of sand on his feet, as he held one foot up to try to keep all of the sand off of it. It was really funny!

We did walk over to the steering wheel and played with that for a while.

Then we decided to make sand angels. What fun!!

Alex had a TON of sand in just about every crease in his body. We washed most of the sand off, which was cold, and was able to brush more of it off later. We got home late, so we'll take a bath tomorrow and see just how much more sand we can find! Remember, a baby that is clean at the end of the day hasn't learned a thing.....I HAVE to keep telling myself that!!

I never realized how the Frank clan look quite alike. Is that your mom sitting on the floor? It is SO nice to see pictures of your family. Some of my most fond childhood memories (okay, middle school memories) are hanging out in your basement while having a big sleepover. The one I'm thinking of was your birthday party, Christine. Do you remember that? I can hardly recall having a more fun time than that!
